SUEZ and the MAScIR Foundation have signed an agreement of Understanding to pursue innovation in waste management and recovery
The partnership aims to develop resilient, innovative circular solutions for waste management and recovery. It targets specific applications such as the recovery of organic waste from agriculture and recycling and recovery of industrial waste, along with the development of low-carbon solutions.
The collaboration strengthens SUEZ “open innovation” approach by extending it to one of Africa’s most dynamic and innovative countries. A key part of this approach is scientific partnerships with leading universities such as UM6P, to support upstream research and identify solutions to adapt to climate change.
SUEZ is a world leader in this area: with 1,100 experts around the world, nearly 1,700 patents and 10 research centres and centres of excellence, along with an innovative approach across the company, SUEZ is committed to accelerating the ecological transition of its partners and clients.
The MAScIR Foundation is a research centre known for its applied research projects. It boasts the skills and expertise of more than 200 researchers and engineers in the fields of biotechnology, materials and microelectronics. This collaboration agreement with SUEZ confirms the MAScIR Foundation’s dedication to science, innovation and research, along with its desire to address Morocco’s current and future needs by developing innovative, high-value-added solutions.
