COVID-19: our employees are taking action #ByYourSide and we thank them all!

Throughout the world, our employees on the front line are ensuring continuity of essential public services: treatment and distribution of drinking water, wastewater sanitation, waste collection and treatment, and industrial services. All our employees comply stringently with the safety measures adopted as they work in the face of this unprecedented public health crisis.

Here are few examples of their commitment:

In France, waste collection teams in Nîmes also march past at 8pm to show their thanks to health workers and those in the front line. In Puy-de-Dôme, Lucie is committed to ensuring sound analysis of water quality.

Meanwhile, SUEZ CEO Bertrand Camus has been travelling around several sites in France, in compliance with the government’s measures, to encourage employees on the ground who are coping in the face of this crisis.

In Italy, one of our employees, Matteo, posts a video filmed in a plant in Naples, demonstrating his commitment and encouraging his colleagues. In Jordan, our teams are working hard to supply drinking water and treat wastewater produced by the population of Amman. In Peru, our employee Eduardo starts his day by disinfecting Arequipa wastewater treatment plant to secure the facility.

In Turkey, our teams are delivering waste collection services for the city of Canakkale and complying with H&S protective measures. In India, our employees are working to ensure continuity of drinking water services in the regions in which we operate. In Spain, Enric continues to carry out preventive and corrective maintenance at Montcada i Reixach wastewater treatment plant near Barcelona.
