Anchor Gas Study

Our measurement system

In addition to carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (N2O) constitute two of the most important gases in the generation of global warming. These types of gases are usually emitted in the fermentation of organic matter under anoxic conditions, as well as in the nitrogen cycle, in the nitrification and denitrification processes. The wastewater treatment sector, as well as the waste treatment and recovery sector, are characterized by the emission of these gases.

At SUEZ we offer our clients the measurement of two of the most important gases that cause the greenhouse effect, methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (N2O), using the most innovative technology.

We also carry out Greenhouse Gas Inventories (GHG), Carbon Footprint, Benchmarking and Good Practices for industries and public administrations regarding their impact on the climate.

In the same way, we calculate the Ecological Footprint (Mathis Wackernagel and William Rees, 1996), which expresses the area necessary for a certain population to be able to maintain its living conditions indefinitely without the need of any material and / or energy flow with outdoor.
