First step in Australia with sea water desalination
Let’s start at the beginning of the water cycle. Did you know that we can drink the sea? Desalination through reverse osmosis is one of SUEZ’ solution to make the water drinkable while protecting the resources. Follow Sophie Bertrand, our lead expert in desalination.

Second step in Mali with UCD mobile units
In Africa, in Mali, we installed mobile units for drinking water production. Water being essential to to ensure health, hygiene and nutrition, we reinforce its accessibility by installing, according to the situation and the needs, treatment units in cases of a galloping urbanization, in isolated areas or when natural disasters occur.

Stormwater management
Third step in China, where cities are transformed into sponges
The city of Chongqing is part of the "Sponge City" program. To improve the resilience of cities to the risk of flooding and to reuse 70% of the rainwater that represents here 1000mm/year. The "Sponge Cities" program aims to recover water during heavy rainfall events to avoid flooding in cities. 20 cities, including Barcelona and Singapore are also part of this program.
